The inspiration

for this website

Through faith and the intercession of the saints, my prayers were answered. Now I am motivated to share my story, so others can share theirs. Collating numerous stories over the years, God willing, my first book will be out November 1st (All Saints Day),2021. A book featuring a collection of testimonials and thanksgiving to the saints that always come to our aid. In the meantime, please enjoy reading some of the stories that have been submitted on the blog.

I created this website so that people can share their experiences, on how the Saints interceded in their lives. If you have similar inspirational stories, please feel free to submit your story through the form on our website or send to whensaintsintercede@gmail.com to be added to the blog and/or book.

Several years ago, I was going through a difficult time and was looking for some direction. One fateful day, my Aunt came to visit and she suggested that I ask St. Therese for help. Rummaging through the phone book, we found a St. Therese Church an hour away. I contacted the church and they informed me of that evening’s service. We decided to attend the service, but upon arrival we learnt it had been cancelled as the church doors were locked.

We went around to the Rectory and explained our travails, as we were seeking answers from that evening service. Fortunately, they agreed to let us in. Given an infinite time for to pray we spent close to an hour at the church, praying to God and seeking St. Therese’ intercessions, before we took our leave.

That was the last I heard of St. Therese… or so I thought. A month later, I took a trip to my native country Egypt. As a youth in the Coptic Orthodox Church, I grew up believing in the power of the Intercession of the Saints, as churches and monasteries in the Orthodox faith are always named after a Saint. During my trip, I visited different churches and monasteries, all over the country seeking answers. Each time I visited any church, I would ask the Patron Saint of that church to intercede on my behalf for answered prayers. I prayed unceasingly, however with no results, but still I never gave up.

At the last church I visited, frustration caught up with me, hence I sought for only one Saint to intercede for me. Uncertain of my next step, I left hesitantly with my mother to visit her childhood nanny, in one of the heavily poverty-stricken

villages in Egypt. After my visit, on my way out, the nanny held my hands and looked straight into my eyes and said “I have a gift for you”. She handed me a gold medallion of St. Therese. To be clear, St. Therese is a Catholic Saint, not an Orthodox Saint. Receiving a medallion of her from someone who is not Catholic in a small rural village in Egypt, is nothing short of a miracle. At that particular moment, I knew St. Therese was my Patron Saint.

Returning to the states, I sought a career change to see if I could experience a turnaround. Like a vast majority, I was stuck with an office job, which sole requirement was to spend an unwavering and monotonous 8-hours on my computer daily. Not fulfilled with this sedentary pattern of life, as travelling around the world had always been my passion, I applied for a flight attendant position with a major airline. After my application, one quiet day, I said a silent prayer to St. Therese, seeking her intercession on my behalf.

St. Therese promised that after she died, her work would begin; She said, “I Will Let Fall from Heaven A Shower of Roses”. Roses are a sign from her, acknowledging your prayer that she will intercede for you. Understanding this, I asked her to send me a rose any way possible, as a sign that I would work for this airline. It didn’t take my Patron Saint time, barely an hour later, the departmental secretary walked into my office and handed me a rose. Literally engulfed in shock, I asked her, why? Her response was nothing short of divine. She told me she was seated in her garden and upon sighting the rose, she thought of me immediately and decided to surprise me with it in the office.

A few weeks later, I was invited for an interview at this airline. Afterwards, while waiting at the airport for my connecting flight home, I sat by the gate reading a book on St. Therese and right there the final sign came. A man approached me and told me of his divine St. Therese intervention. He was surprised someone was in front of him reading a book on St. Therese, the same Patron Saint who delivered his breakthrough. He gave me a prayer card of St. Therese whilst sharing his marvelous story.

Cutting-it short, I didn’t get the job as a flight attendant, but instead was offered a position at the airport. I ended up working for this major airline for over 15 years, holding numerous positions which allowed me to travel to many places all over the world. After all, St. Therese is the patron saint of aviators. My prayer was answered in God’s time, through the intercession of my Patron Saint “St. Therese”.

Now I want to hear your stories. Please feel free to share your Patron Saint experiences of what happens “When the Saints Intercede”. We would love to know if you have a Patron Saint? How often do you ask your Saint for assistance? Do you have a specific prayer that was answered? Would you like to offer your thanks to a specific Saint for the countless acts they have performed on your behalf? If so, please fill out our online questionnaire/form. We would love to hear your story!

The site’s patron saint,

St. Therese

O Little Therese of the Child Jesus, please pick for me a rose
from the heavenly gardens and send it to me as a message of love.

O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God to grant the favors
I now place with confidence in your hands . .

(mention specific requests)

St. Therese, help me to always believe as you did in
God’s great love for me, so that I might imitate your “Little Way” each day.

Amen.
